okay i was thinking about this the other day. rb with whether you say asphalt, pavement, blacktop, tarmac, or something else, and which of these words have/haven’t you heard of

so far there have been several kinds of people

  • i say all of them but tarmac is for airports
  • i say all of them but blacktop
  • i say all of them but tarmac
  • i have not heard of tarmac or blacktop
  • i say them all but they all mean different things
tarmac is for airports asphalt is like. more specific than pavement asphalt is very specifically the black stuff on the road pavement is like whatever’s on there which could include concrete blacktop to me conjures like. elementary school our yard was a parking lot and playground so blacktop refrrred to the playing part of the pavement in the yard
